Lexus Longbrake is a fiber artist and woodworker living and working in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated with her B.F.A. in Craft and Material Studies, and a minor in Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts in 2017. During the summer of 2016 she attended workshops at Arrowmont School of Art and Craft in 3D fiber sculpture, paper making, and book binding. Lexus recently completed an upholstery apprenticeship program with SG Woodworks in April of 2019.

Function first, the furniture often features chunky feet, cutouts that reveal an inner piece, and often a moving part.

Muted gray stains, browns, and midtoned woods. Cherry, Red Oak, and Hickory. Milk paint, light pastels, and interior splashes of color.


Paste paper technique, waxed linen bindings, embroidered pages, and a pocket on the inside of every journal.
